    When I lived in Kenya, I wanted to commemorate the many adventures I had with my short-wheelbase Land Cruiser. I commissioned Taro to paint her, and the result was exceptional. Since leaving Kenya, I have lived in Egypt and now the UK, and the painting has travelled with me throughout. It currently hangs in my office, a constant reminder of an extraordinary country and a memorable period of my life. I am deeply grateful to Taro for creating such a skilful and characterful piece. His talent, distinctive style, and careful attention to detail have ensured that those memories continue to live on.

    I commissioned a painting as a gift for my dad, and I was absolutely delighted with the results. I was quite particular with what I wanted the final result to be like, and Taro nailed it. I asked for the background to be implied using a few simple shapes so the location could be recognised without taking away focus from the landrover and I was blown away by Taro’s interpretation and execution of my requests. He was such a delight to work with, even organised a frame and had it all mounted and ready for me in time for my Dad’s birthday.
